You only need to do the basics well…
You only to repeat consistency.
You don’t need anything complex.
You don’t need a full lifestyle overhaul.
You don’t need to start again.
You don’t need to be harsh on yourself.
You only need to remain consistent with a few basic actions to become an extraordinary version of yourself.
Like an athlete… repeat certain movements over and over again.
With repetition, you will become an ‘expert’.
Too many people try to put too many fingers in too many pies.
No carbs, no sugars, no fun, no booze, 8 training sessions a week etc…
Then wonder why they fall after a few minutes and become all negative towards themselves.
Give yourself a bit of compassion, how would you talk to a friend?
Talk to yourself like this.
Look at what the ‘experts’ do…
Someone who is in the position you want to be in.
Are they:
Cutting everything out, being erratic, trying to do everything, giving themselves a hard time?
Or are they:
Focussed on a few points, remaining flexible and giving themselves an easier ride?
Change that mentality.
Work on building up the basics before trying any advanced techniques.
Focus on 1-3 actions that you can succeed with each day then build from this.
Imagine you’re moving 10 objects with a combined weight of 200kg…
Now would you struggle trying to carry all 10 without moving.
Or would you:
Carry the heavy ones one by one? (Big changes)
Smaller ones a few at a time? (Small changes)
Make change easy…
