Old civilisations built castle walls to protect them from invading enemies.
What do you have sitting on your castle walls to protect your brain?
Your brain gets attacked daily by negative thoughts, stress, mood swings, feeling etc but if you have nothing protecting your brain those enemy forces will break through the castle walls and take up residence within.
Once within they will control your head like an enemy force that has just taken over a stronghold.
Making you feel how you don’t want to feel, making you respond a different way, changing your mood and your day-to-day.
Put your defensive army up on those walls and train them daily.
The more training your army has…
The better your defence will be.
If you neglect training your soldiers and think ‘I will deal with it when it comes’
Your soldiers will be overweight pissheads who fire the bow instead of the arrow.
Your castle will be overrun and like a virus, the enemy will spread through your castle
Train your soldiers hard!
Put them under stressful situations, make them work because battle-hardened soldiers deal with war better than new recruits.
They know how to respond to the threat, they know what to do & when.
Stop giving your soldiers an easy ride,
Stop thinking that being ‘kind’ will prevent the invading armies' advances.
Life isn’t nice.
Don’t ask for life to be easier… Ask for your defence to be stronger.
Build that resilience every day.
Put yourself in uncomfortable positions…
Become comfortable with being uncomfortable.
The more you build robustness… the easier you will deal with those enemy soldiers.
